Product Manager Full-time

Bulk Elemental Analysis (BEA) serves the needs of analytical laboratories for OES, XRF and XRD instrumentation in applications as diverse as Cement, Steel & Metallurgy, Mining, Geology and Geochemistry, Petroleum & Polymers, Glass and Ceramics, Pharmaceuticals, Research & Academic, Institutes & Government, Semiconductors, Paints and Chemicals, Forensics Investigations, and Environmental applications.


Our Automation business provides engineered sample manipulation solutions integrated with our analytical instrumentation and third-party sample preparation products that enable a fully automated sample introduction and management system.


Responsibilities:


As Product Manager you ?own? the product. You are responsible for the product line strategy, ensuring sustainable and profitable growth globally. You will understand customers, the competitive landscape and be able to analyse and provide insights into how we can best deliver value to customers ? then be able to execute and deliver this working with a variety of functions and colleagues across a matrixed oragnisation. The position can be based remotely throughout Europe.


The position requires significant internal and external thought leadership, strategic marketing skills, and the ability to influence across a wide variety of functions / roles. The individual in this position should be viewed as a skilled marketing professional with strong knowledge of the market, customer, competition, and service offerings.


Customer Centric:


  • Be an expert on our customers. Proactively listen, understand and develop actionable insights into how we can develop products that provide value to customers.

  • Articulate these insights in a concise and compelling way so that internal stakeholders ?get? the customer and their desired outcomes and translate these into business growth initiatives that drives a sustainable advantage.

  • Define market requirements and synthesize customer input by conducting VOC and market research to understand key market trends, use cases, customer requirements, user and buyer personas and competitive activities across geographies and market segments.


Product roadmap:


  • Own the product roadmap, illustrate a vision, deliverables and prioritize requirements. Leading the innovation process for the assigned areas, assesses opportunities and validate concepts for new product offerings and prepare business cases to support the investment.

  • Monitor and review our current products offerings, determine how well the product is performing in the market and understand how it impacts the company operations and how it ultimately contributes to profit

  • Independently establishes and leads strategic initiatives that drive commercial success and support the overall business strategy.

  • Ensure that the product roadmap integrates and complements the wider business.


Execution:


  • Define the strategies and programs that will generate awareness and leads for your products in collaboration with marketing communications.

  • Be responsible for the execution of initiatives to drive profitability.

  • Own the pricing model, ensure that we are extracting the maximum value, considering different regional and competitive insights.


Your Profile:


  • Customer driven, with strong qualitative and quantitative research skills, able to talk to the market and present insightful analysis.

  • Demonstrate Product Management fundamentals, 4Ps, segmentation and positioning, value propositions, persona development and PLM.

  • Ability to develop high levels of credibility and forge solid and positive professional relationships with subordinates and peers and leadership.

  • Financial acumen (forecasting, market share, top and bottom line).

  • Analytical and strategic thinker.

  • Interacts with varying levels of internal and external stakeholders including direct client communication and public presentation.

  • Exhibits outstanding presentation, communication, writing skills and with the ability to inspire through persuasive presentation of information.

  • Work closely with applications team on to develop use scenarios and technical specifications for new products and applications.

  • A Degree in Marketing or Business (MBA preferred).

  • Experience within Product Management and Product Marketing.

  • Some product line/market knowledge of automation and software systems for sample preparation, with a solid understanding of relevant markets and key drivers would be beneficial (but not essential).

  • Willingness to travel up to 30%, both domestically and internationally, as required.

  • Fluent in English.
