Job Description

Your contribution to something big:

You will have the opportunity to join one of the application software development teams of the Electric Solutions group at Bosch ThermoTechnology, located in Aveiro. Your work will focus on software testing activities (from Model and Software, to Hardware-in-the-Loop) of the control logic of our Heat Pumps, using a model-based development framework, and the coordination of an efficient working model with internal and external partners. Heat pumps offer a heating and/or cooling solution for the household, as well as domestic hot water, for the best and most efficient comfort at home.

In this position, you will:

• Design, implement and maintain automated software tests for Air-to-Water Heat Pumps;


• Take part of an agile team where you will design tests for the models and functions that control our Heat Pumps mainly in Python (based on Robot Framework) and MATLAB Simulink;


• Take responsibility in assuring a high-quality in the developed products;


• Ensure that the delivery of your assigned work meets the projects? timelines.

Qualifications

What distinguishes you:

• Degree in Computer Science, Electrical and Computers Engineering, or similar;


• Knowledge and experience in MATLAB and Simulink (model-based development);


• Knowledge of modern DevOps (particularly the Atlassian toolchain and Jenkins);


• Knowledge and experience in Python/C (other programming languages are also valued), and Robot Framework, or similar;


• Knowledge of data bus communication (e.g., CAN, Modbus, LIN);


• Very good communication skills (in Portuguese and English), and willingness to collaborate with an international team; this includes willingness for occasional business travel;


• Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork spirit, with eagerness to learn and share knowledge with others;


• Sense of responsibility, not only for own tasks but also for high level system problems, that might not be part of the immediate project at work;


• Proactive attitude, questioning unclear design decisions (not just blindly following requirements) and suggesting improvements;


• Organized and motivated/self-driven, breaking down your own activities and supporting your manager and team in planning future tasks.
