Senior Marketing Manager Full-time

The Respiratory Interventions (RI), Sr Marketing Manager, Western Europe, contributes to the business performance of RI Western Europe by applying a comprehensive understanding of business expertise to align organizational transformation and performance with the regional business strategies, mission and targets.


You will work closely with the Patient Monitoring and PM&RI Shared Capabilities Marketing lead Western Europe and team and all RI Country/Cluster Omnichannel Managers and key transversal support functions (such as Medical Affairs, Commercial Excellence, Marketing Operations and Integrated Healthcare Solutions) to provide strategic market development direction to all RI Sales employees and ultimately drive RI Market growth and share gain across Western Europe.


You will work very closely with the RI Global Marketing team in order to align and execute on global strategies and tactics as well as to feed the global team with the intelligence regarding the WE market, the needs and support needed.


You will be responsible for introducing new products and therapies in new or existing accounts for the full RI portfolio.


You will lead a team of Western Europe and Country Product Managers and reports to the RI Commercial Director, Western Europe.


This can be a remote home based position which can be based anywhere in Western Europe (traval requirement up to 40%)



A Day in the Life


Identifies, develops, and supports the implementation of near-term and long-term business strategies relating to the expansion of Respiratory Interventions solutions (in Western Europe).


Develops & maintains robust relationships with clinical and economical stakeholders to drive awareness and adoption of RI products and therapies in Western Europe.


Facilitates access to therapies in scope in pioneering and/or other appropriate targeted accounts through awareness, Simplify patient pathway, education and capacity building.


Coordinates with both customer and Medtronic stakeholders to identify Strategic and Key account needs and potential for implementing market development projects.


Develops business models and determine local market trends to substantiate long-term prospects and approaches.


Looks for opportunities to shape local policies and consult HCPs on reimbursement, billing and coding.


Creates, develops and maintains referral pathways with stakeholders to ensure sustainable patient access to therapies.


Identifies and supports the implementation of patient pathway optimization programs.


Lead Respiratory Interventions Market development projects, develop and disseminate information on a continuous basis to all pertinent parties concerning the fulfillment of project goals and objectives.



Must Haves


Bachelor's degree in Business or Marketing or equivalent required with post-graduate degree advantageous


10+ years professional experience in market development, sales or marketing roles


5+ years of professional experience in Strategic, Multi-Country market Development or Sales of a complex global organization


Be based in Western Europe with fluent English


Experience with implementation of global programs and processes


Experience in leading large scale change initiatives


Experience in a large corporate environment with a significant matrix component


Previous experience working in a regulated industry in Healthcare, Medical Devices or Pharmaceuticals.

State of the Art, Expert Knowledge of modern sales policies, procedures and techniques with a demonstrated ability to apply this knowledge to drive achievement of business goals.


Effective external and internal networker at a Global and Western Europe level, able to establish credible and sustainable working relationships throughout RI as well as the broader Medtronic group on all hierarchy levels and in all relevant geographies.


Excellent people management skills including proven ability to build and develop high performance teams and get superior results through others


Highly effective Talent Development Mindset including the ability to mentor and coach employees, foster their career development, objective setting and performance management.


Strong interpersonal and collaboration / conflict resolution skills, effective engagement skills across the organization (respecting the importance of the matrixed organization within Medtronic)


Proven abilty to achieve results through influence and leadership (especially running cross-functional teams/projects).


Problem analysis and resolution at a strategic and functional level; strong business systems perspective


Strong prioritization skills, able to coordinate multiple large scale projects and handling changing priorities with ease.
