As a Training Developer, this employee will design and develop instructor-led, web based and blended learning tools for sales, technical teams and end users. Based on a solid understanding of organizational training needs, the incumbent will be responsible for creating impactful, engaging, and innovative learning experiences. The Training Developer will be instrumental in ensuring that all output is compelling, impactful and meets the defined business objectives.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Assimilates and summarizes organizational training needs, based on input from users and guidance of internal subject matter experts and key stakeholders. Defines course learning objectives, determines media needs, and recommends training mediums. Leverages relevant content to create instructor led and web-based training for use by sales teams, technical support personnel, and end users, as defined by key stakeholders (training mangers, marketing, product management, sales).

As the creative lead, collaborates with other team members and stakeholders to create impactful, engaging, and innovative learning experiences. Makes design recommendations to the team to ensure optimal impact of deliverables. Engages with other training teams across the enterprise to understand their approaches and to identify synergies, especially in the use of creative elements, software packages, and mobile platforms. Drives on-time delivery of high quality output that is compelling and effective. Provides completed training modules to training delivery teams, ensuring effective distribution to all channels and to all targeted audiences. Gathers feedback and reports on KPIs and metrics, including use, perceived quality and impact of training deliverables. Serves as primary point of contact for training content inquiries and support.

Candidates for this position must have:

  • 4-year college degree in business, communications, marketing, graphic design, or its equivalent
  • 5-7 years as a training professional, with applicable experience in instructor-led, web based and online courseware design and development
  • Advanced knowledge of online learning software and web based learning management systems such as Lectora, Captivate and/or Adobe eLearning
  • Proven track record of designing and delivering educational courses on time and on target
  • Ability to select communication styles and training mediums that resonate with different audiences: sales teams, technical staffs, and end users/customers
  • Comfort with new and emerging training processes, mediums and styles (video, mobile, blended)
  • Strong communication skills and an a bility to effectively engage at all levels of the organization
  • Strong team building and people leadership skills
  • The ability to be self-led while being conscious and acting in the best interest of broader team and organization
  • Flexible; able to manage multiple projects in a dynamic, fast paced working environment

An ideal candidate will also have:

  • Training delivery experience
  • Graphic design or digital marketing experience
  • An understanding of Meridian systems
  • Prior exposure and understanding of the Sensormatic portfolio
