Job Description


The Recruiting and HR Admin Manager is overall responsible for the selection and hiring of new crew for both Mystic Cruises as well as Mystic Ocean. In order to ensure a smooth operation onboard all vessels, he/she will have close communication with the Senior Crew Manager to identify the upcoming need and he/she ensures that positions are published well in advance to attract the correct candidates for the positions.
Together with the Senior Crew Manager, the Recruiting and HR Admin Manager is responsible for the vessel rotation planning and monitoring of signed off crew, to ensure that all crew receive a new assignment well in time to guarantee their employment within the company.


To achieve this, the Recruiting and HR Admin Manager:


  • Actively works together with the Senior Crew Manager managing the rotation plans

  • Ensures any potential recruitment needs are identified

  • Prepares and publishes the positions in Smartrecruiters to attract candidates

  • Overall manages Smartrecruiters for the HR Seagoing department

  • Identifies potential agencies and recruitment areas

  • As part of the HR team, will take weekend emergency duty in rotation

  • Checks all new hired CM for the required documentation

  • Supports in handling of Crew Changes

  • Scheduling of Crew

  • Making Travel Arrangements

  • Communication with Crew and Agents

  • Checks ADONIS activities to ensure correct positions and payscales are assigned

  • Follows up on the scheduled crew to ensure all documents are received in time and all crew changes are communicated to the agents and vessel in a timely manner

  • As part of the team, responsible for the administrational filing in the HR system and folder

  • Regularly ensures redundant files are purged to reduce server size

  • Controls the Promotion Pool and ensures that crew recommended for Promotion are tracked and promotions are processed accordingly.

  • Organizes with the Senior Crew Manager recruitment trips and recruitment fair visits

  • Has close communication with the Fleet team and Directors of Hotel operations regarding recruiting processes for HOD and Supervisory positions

  • Supports the Senior Crew Manager in daily tasks

  • Handles communication with direct applicants and manages the general Careers email


Qualifications


Requirements:


  • Preferable German Speaking

  • Experience and knowledge of ISM / ISO, MLC, CBA and STCW regulations.

  • Experience in Recruiting

  • Shipboard experience and experience with MLC & ILO legislation is an advantage

  • Very strong administrative skills

  • High level of organisational skills

  • Experience with accounting and finances are a plus
