About the opportunity

We are recruiting for a Senior Java Developer to focus on our Ellucian Banner Admin product which is distributed with a set of Rapid Application Development Tools designed to help and accelerate building new pages and maintaining the existing code base, and that allows Ellucian customers to extend our baseline offer with minimal effort. This is a set of tools developed and maintained internally. You will be given a chance to help create a team to maintain and evolve this product suite as well as contributing to the product?s future roadmap. You are expected to be able to manage backlogs and use agile development methodologies for the product release cycles. You will also be evolving our framework to make use of all the modern Web application design patterns and trends.

What you will bring

• Computer science higher education or at least 3 years of experience as a senior software engineer/developer.
• 
  4+ years of experience as a Java developer.
• 
  Can deeply understand complex requirements and how these impact products on a macro level.
• 
  Excellent knowledge of the Java Programming Language, Eclipse plugin development, Apache FreeMarker, XML, Spring Framework.

Desirable experience

• Previous experience as a product owner/manager and software team lead.
• 
  Knowledge of the Morphis Foundations framework and Morphis RAD tools.
• 
  Knowledge of Banner Admin 9x ERP.
• 
  Usage of OWasp coding best practices.
