Team Lead, Technical Release Manager Full-time

To support our growth and commitment to hiring exceptional performers, we are looking for a Team Lead, Technical Release Manager based in Portugal - Remote.

Job Responsibilities and Expectations:
  • Lead and supervise a team of Technical Release Managers (TRM) supporting the continued adoption of XL Release;

  • Act as the SME for XL Release evangelizing best practices to establish and improve the Release Management Operations practice;

  • Lead ongoing engagements with the Product Lines leaders for on-boarding and maintaining to XL Release and act as single point of contact;

  • Own the change management processes promoting data integrity, data governance, compliance efforts with all relevant internal stakeholders;

  • Own the processes for delivering error-free downloads for our customer base;

  • Develop automated gatekeeping workflow for ?Go/No-go? decisions to move/not move an application forward in processing to customer access;

  • Develop automated CAB approval process with binary (?move forward/go back?) decision tree;

  • Partner with business stakeholders to proactively identify, drive, and build improvements, enhancements, and system customization that solve critical release business needs;

  • Leverage technology and process innovation to bring continuous improvement to ongoing operations (scalability, efficiency, scope, etc.) across the system and teams;

  • Requires a candidate with the proven ability to drive process improvements. new process creation, as well as keep pace with our growth and motivate others to meet the challenges of a deadline-driven environment;

  • Coordinate the introduction of new capabilities & products to our customers;

  • Partner closely with Engineering, Product, Marketing, Professional Services, Technical Support, Customer Success, and Sales;

  • Build and streamline the processes to drive adoption of new functionality at scale;

  • Lead, manage, and grow the team;

  • Drive strategy & execution of early (beta) Release access programs for new products;

  • Oversee the Subject Matter Expert (SME) program for each of the core product areas;

  • Manage strategic initiatives related to customer expansion, such as expanding into new personas & verticals.


Desired Skills & Experience:
  • Bachelor?s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical discipline;

  • Experience managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior management;

  • Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements;

  • Experience owning program strategy and end to end delivery;

  • 5+ years experience in Program/Project management and Release Management;

  • 5+ years experience delivering cross-functional projects;

  • 5+ years of work experience with process/product improvements and business analysis;

  • Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation and standardization;

  • Experience defining and executing against program requirements;

  • Strong program management and analytical skills, be comfortable dealing with ambiguity, and have the ability to effectively influence and communicate with global stakeholders;

  • Proven ability to think and move quickly and manage difficult tradeoffs to meet deadlines;

  • Experience in strategy, change management, release management and rolling-out large scale initiatives. Experience executing both strategic and operational initiatives;

  • Experience planning, scheduling, implementing projects in a demanding, change-oriented, fast-paced environment requiring a high degree of deadline-driven productivity;

  • Proven ability to work with team members to design scalable processes, implement strategic projects that solve business problems, with focus on continuous improvement;

  • Ability to lead and work effectively with cross functional groups;

  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and collaboration skills that enable you to earn trust at all levels, including senior leadership;

  • 7+ years of relevant engineering experience;



Ways To Stand Out From The Crowd:
  • MBA is a plus;

  • Knowledge of XL release is a plus;

  • Experience with agile software development methodologies (Scrum/Kanban & SAFe);

  • Knowledge of software development best practices;

  • Experience operating critical systems;

  • Sound business judgment, a proven ability to influence others, analytical skills, and a proven track record of taking ownership, leading data-driven analyses, and influencing results;

  • Proven ability to work in a dynamic, ambiguous environment, meet tight deadlines and prioritize workloads, and ability to develop new ideas and creative solutions;

  • A strong track record of project delivery for large, cross-functional, projects;

  • Track record of bringing in and growing engineering talent;

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences.
