MISSION

Drive scientific expertise contributing to Bial's strategic medical direction while acting as a valuable scientific partner with HCPs and patients, making sure that all legal framework is respected.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design and execute the annual medical plans for the respiratory therapeutic area;


• Design and implement the KOL engagement plans for the MSLs;


• Responsible for managing a team of MSLs and ensure the implementation of field activities;


• Provide technical and scientific expertise (both internally and externally) under the therapeutic area scope;


• Create, develop and maintain a strong, close and bi-directional scientific relationship with leading and current key opinion leaders (KOLs), scientific societies and other relevant external stakeholders;


• Implement and disseminate high quality medical and scientific educational programs, including acting as a speaker on scientific presentations at meetings, organized by the company or external scientific groups;


• Review marketing materials assuring compliance with product's SPC and the legal framework;


• Participate as an active member of the Brand Teams and contribute to the product strategy;


• Provide training to Medical Representatives and other Business Unit employees granting that accurate scientific information is provided for the promoted products;


• Manage Late Phase Medical Research (phase IV studies) contributing to real world evidence;


• Respond to internal and external requests/questions for medical and scientific information on marketed and/or investigational drugs;


• Guide the activity in order to comply with the policies defined in the Quality, R&D, Environment and IDI In health and Safety and Regulatory Procedures to him concerned;


• Collaborate on any other activities or task from the department/ area, when necessary.

REQUIREMENTS

• Master's Degree in Health Sciences, or Medical Doctor (MD);


• Minimum 3 years of experience in Medical Affairs;


• Good communication skills (verbal, written and presentations)


• Fluency in English (oral and written);


• Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work in cross-functional teams;


• Experience of relevant pharmaceutical industry guidelines;


• Analytical sense and a solid understanding of research methodology;


• Solid Computer skills.
