THE OPPORTUNITY



We are looking for a People ops Specialist (Tech & Product) to join our People Team in Lisbon, Portugal!
The People Ops Specialist will be a key member of the People Team in Portugal. We are already 70 Gympassers and working on tripling this number in the short term.



YOUR IMPACT



  • Work closely with the Payroll Specialist to ensure the monthly information is sent and checked in time of payment - manage payroll activities with finance, vendors and employees

  • Collect information of new hires, ensure documents are accurate, signed and sent to payroll in time

  • Responsible for onboarding of all new hires in Portugal - you are the first Gympasser they have contact with, so ensuring an excellent onboarding experience is part of your job

  • Support Global Mobility & Relocation processes (e.g visa request with provider, relocation payments, onboard relocated employees, explain next steps) - we are growing a lot and relocating a lot of people, so mobility is a big task!

  • Be the focal point of our benefits providers, leasing with them all the necessary information (eg. add dependent on health insurance, meal voucher payment)

  • Main contact for the finance team, ensuring invoices are paid in due date and coordinating the process with vendors

  • Act as an office manager: oversee the office, in partnership with stakeholders (co-working space, leadership team, TA), address specific topics regarding the office

  • Help foster the company culture by coordinating, facilitating, and overseeing employee engagement activities and initiatives for PT Office

  • Main point of contact for our office employees and vendors. Guide PT employees on their questions, coordinating requests, addressing operational needs, communicating policies and ensuring compliance with people practices

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to provide excellent People Operations support (payroll, finance, benefits) & engage in different People Team activities

  • Lease with the legal team any specific requests

  • Continuous Improvement: propose improvements to our current processes, suggest new ways of working and collaborating with ideas


WHO YOU ARE



The ideal candidate has already some experience with Portuguese Labor Law, worked in a Human Resources Ops position and is looking for the next step in the career, in a tech, fast paced company, who is growing and investing a lot.



  • At least 2+ years in a Human Resources, Payroll or Admin position

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Administration or related field

  • Knowledge of Portugal's labor law and practice is a must

  • Full proficiency in English and Portuguese (mandatory)

  • You have the ability to work both autonomously and collaborate in a safe-paced environment

  • A true team player who loves working towards both team and individual goals

  • A self-starter who can multi-task and adapt to a fast-growing organization

  • You enjoy working on multiple priorities and projects

  • Excellent communication, writing and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to establish steady cross-functional relationships

  • Exceptional attention to detail

  • Strong organizational, time management, and project management skills

  • Tech savvy & Experience in a tech company is a plus
