About the job



The Vendor Master Data Team Leader position is part of the Group Strategic Sourcing Services ? Cost Accounting Operations department, and is in charge of the vendors accounting treatment and related processes, within the BNPP Group.


The Team Leader will manage a Cost Accounting Operations team in Lisbon, being responsible for Master Data management and processing through the SAP tool. Additionally, this team also performs periodical reviews and quality checks of BNP?s vendor database ensuring high data quality in line with the BNP Paribas standards.


Your Main Activities Are


  • Define the capacity planning of the team

  • Follow-up the team?s planning and workload plan

  • Manage and assist the team members on their day-to-day activity

  • Contribute to the resolution of blocking points

  • Monitor the Risks

  • Ensure good communication with Business Lines and Finance teams

  • Perform the relevant reporting to the Management (KPIs and Dashboards, key messages, improvement axis?)

  • Lead continuous improvement activities such as monitor the team?s performance (outgoing invoices, treatment length, data quality, stock and flow within the workflows?) and implement processes to ensure the efficiency of the team?s daily activities

  • Coordinate and distribute the daily working tasks

  • Obtain, analyse and prepare reporting information

  • Monitor and evaluate team?s performance

  • Manage complex and urgent requests

  • Update and ensure the quality and improvement of the documentation and processes


Profile and Skills to Success


  • University degree or equivalent by experience in Accounting/Economics/Business Management/Finance or other relevant fields

  • Significant professional experience (at least 7 years in total) in a similar role with part of such experience including previous team management responsibilities (at least 3 years of experience in a Management role)

  • Knowledge of Accounts Payable workflows is a strong plus

  • Strong SAP user experience

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word) is mandatory

  • Strong management and leadership skills

  • Interpersonal and customer orientation skills

  • Pro-active behaviour regarding the ability to work in a fast changing and demanding environment

  • At ease with multi-tasking

  • Strong analytical mind, problem solving, planning & organisation skills

  • Fluency in English (minimum B2 Level, CECRL certificate) and French is mandatory
