Background:

With the increased development in the logistics operations and consolidation in the logistics service provider industry, JLL Portugal is looking for an industry and logistics Account Manager that develop its business with corporate clients.

Role:

The role is to coordinate with existing & new accounts and manage logistics and industrial specific knowledge more effectively across Portugal , in order to grow business.

This role also takes into account the promotion of all the different JLL business lines to the target audience such as:

  • Leasing
  • Capital Market
  • Development
  • Project Management
  • Consultancy

The role will report directly to the Head of Office, Industrial & Logistics Leasing department in Portugal.

The position will increase the number of cross selling opportunities by working with the various business lines and the relevant team leaders across the country.

Key Responsibilities:

The role has a three tier structure:

  • Maintain and grow fruitful relationships with existing customers;
    • Own network ?management & development?;
    • Generate repeat business;
  • Identify new sales opportunities;
    • Join pitches with transactional & other consulting teams;
    • Commercial offer development;
    • Key account management;
    • 3PL & transport RFQ Management;
  • Be an agent of change;
    • Support JLL market experts in driving additional revenue;
    • Support JLL market experts in promoting JLL?s supply chain capabilities;

Professional Experience & Qualifications:

The successful candidate will have an in depth knowledge of the portuguese logistic and industrial market and a good understanding of the supply chain.

A successful Account Manager Industrial & Logistics is expected to have :

  • Deep Logistics and Industrial knowledge;
  • Leadership (leading directly and leading through others ? including customers);
  • Outstanding idea generation capabilities (ideas that are forward thinking and that contribute to creating sustained competitive advantage);
  • Strong sales acumen (selling ideas to his/her key stakeholders, internally and externally, translating these into effective proposals, conveying value and communicating it accordingly);
  • Execution Excellence (appreciative of the value and impact of outstanding execution);
  • Genuine commitment to JLL Industrial & Logistics business model and connection with JLL business agenda;

Skills

  • Requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience;
  • Preferably logistics or supply chain education;
  • Language: Beyond Portuguese, English and Spanish are required.
  • At least 3 years of experience in the sector gained in a similar position;
  • Demonstrated high performance orientation, strong analytical skills, industry and logistic knowledge;
  • Must be able to influence senior management through well formulated business presentations;
  • Project management (manage multiple projects simultaneously);
  • Experience in liaising with customers of different sizes and complexity;
  • Previous experience in a physical supply chain design management position, preferably in Retail or Logistics industry is a plus;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills;
  • Computer literate with good working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint Presentations);

  • Energize: Motivating others, Developing Direct Reports and Others, Peers Relationship
  • Execute: Action Oriented, Organized, Perseverance, Priority Setting, Drive for Results
