Business Management and Project Office Team Leader Full-time

The Business Management and Project Office Team Leader manages the administrative aspects related to the COO and Company Engagement departments, in all topics requiring transversal coordination or consolidation of information such as HR, Facilities, Finance, Community Management, Governance and the management of the portfolio of projects. The position is in close contact with BNP Paribas Portugal Board Members.


Your Main Activities Are


  • Coordinate the team?s activities and processes, and improve team members? skills.

  • Serve as Secretary of the internal committees.

  • Lead the management of the portfolio of projects for COO, CIB and Portugal Territory

  • Lead the execution of activities , processes and tasks related to the management of COO and CE departments, such as Finance, Performance, HR, Operational Permanent Control, Business Continuity and Community Management

  • Lead the development of simple and complex data models and promote the development or maintenance of new data models.

  • Lead workshops or meetings with internal clients.

  • Manage internal communities, with the organization of events, management of internal sites, sharing of information via mailing list.

  • Foster a Continuous Improvement mind-set and lead the implementation of new projects that benefit and improve the management of the scope.

  • Ensure the maintenance of knowledge management processes and tools and maintain the audit trail processes.

  • Lead the yearly budget process and the follow-up of the budget of the departments.


Profile and Skills to Success


  • Master?s Degree in Management, Economics or Engineering.

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in Project Management and/or Consulting is required.

  • Excellent command of English. French is a plus.

  • Good interpersonal skills, and ability to influence and negotiate.

  • Preference for experience in managing people.

  • Previous experience in banking sector is a plus.

  • Knowledge of BNP Paribas internal organization is a plus.

  • Knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.

  • Proficient command of Microsoft tools.

  • Strong written and verbal communication.

  • Highly organised.

  • Energetic, proactive, determined, able to drive change, positive attitude, results oriented, consistent and with high ethics conscience.

  • Provide honest and independent advice.

  • Act with discretion, privacy, confidentiality.


About the Team


Smartsourcing & Management Office is part of the COO department of BNP Paribas in Portugal. The team aims at supporting the management, growth and transformation of activities in Portugal by providing business and contract management, project management office, advisory and project delivery services. Made of 50+ individuals, the team supports all businesses in Portugal and has developed over the past years a solid experience and expertise in delivering projects and industrialising processes, while complying with internal policies and regulations.


Part of the Smartsourcing & Management Office, the Territory Management Office provides business management support to the Chief Operating Officer and Company Engagement departments as well as project office activities to COO, CIB and Territory. The team is now seeking for its Business Management and Project Office Team Leader.
