As fintech continues to be a fast-growing customer segment for MA, the global Fintech & Enablers team drives Mastercard?s position as partner of choice for fintech companies and focuses opportunities for growth with the segment and focus on how Mastercard enables the fintech segment overall.

Mastercard Start Path is recognized as a global leader in corporate-startup engagement. In December 2020, Start Path won the award of best global corporate/startup accelerator by the ICC and Mastercard was awarded Number 1 Corporate in the world for our startup engagement approach.

For the last 6 years the Start Path team has scoured the globe for best-in-class startups who are building the future of commerce. Each year we on-board 30-40 startups to the program specifically focusing on companies with whom Mastercard can build a strong and lasting relationship. To date we?ve worked with 270 startups who have collectively gone on to raise $5B in capital post program and become both customers and collaborators of Mastercard.

Management Consultant ? Start Path Corporate Membership

All about the Role

We are seeking a Management Consultant to work closely with the Start Path team and take responsibility for the delivery of the Start Path Corporate Membership platform

The role has three major requirements:

o Working closely with the global Start Path team, contribute to the evaluation and selection of companies for the Start Path program with a special focus on those companies that collaborate with existing players to innovate in financial services

o As Mastercard Advisors scales the Start Path Corporate Membership program to clients, own and manage the Corporate Membership platform of assets to ensure clients experience the full potential of our Start Path work by
?
Developing research reports on the latest innovations in the fintech and startup space including deployment of venture capital to grow the space
?
Curating a series of Founder Webinars to provide deep dives to clients on specific fintech companies that illustrate the latest trends and serve as potential collaborators
?
Create case studies that serve as best practice examples for startup/corporate engagement

o Support Mastercard Advisors Sales and Delivery teams both to secure new customers (supporting the refresh of sales materials and narrative) and that existing customers have a first class experience with a high net promoter score.

• In order to be successful in the role the candidate will also manage a number of external suppliers to support our goals with the Corporate Membership program
  

• Possesses a passion for the startup and Fintech community and an appreciation for the potential of startup-corporate engagement
  
• Experience with proven track record in project management, with the ability to demonstrate leading initiatives from strategic planning through tactical execution
  
• Ability to quickly learn about new technologies, demonstrating startup subject matter expertise and industry thought leadership
  
• Results driven, solutions and customer focused, with strong business acumen and sense of urgency
  
• Demonstrated ability to take accountability and drive to desired results with passion, ambition and aptitude
  
• Demonstrated strong self-awareness, open to different approaches and ideas. Self-motivated, thrives in the ambiguity that comes with a lean and agile team at the forefront of an evolving space
  
• Expertise gained payments, banking and fintech is highly desired
  
• MBA or other advanced degree in strategy, marketing, communications, innovation, entrepreneurship or other related fields a plus
