US Custody Corporate Actions Analyst (working hours 06h00 to 15h00) Full-time

Processing all US Custody Corporate Actions


This includes but is not limited to Global and Local Clearing and Custody (GC) with respect to:

  • Event capture, set-up and client notification


  • Client and depository/sub-custodian instruction processing


  • Security and cash payment processing and reconciliation


Your Main Activities Are


Team Work and Processing


  • Process the Corporate Actions (CA) services for all global custody (GC) and local custody (LC) markets opened for the US Custody business


  • Event capture, event set-up, and client notification


  • Client instruction and depot/sub-custodian instruction processing


  • Security and cash payment processing


  • Pre- and post-payment reconciliation and break resolution


  • Market/counterparty claim processing


  • Market and Client updates


  • Act as a subject matter expert on CA processing


  • Perform expected responsibilities within appropriate client service level agreement (SLA)


  • Follow appropriate training


  • Follow the main principles of Banking Operations, especially through the segregation of tasks


  • Participate in the definition and follow-up of the operational procedures. Ensure their enforcement at all time.


  • Participate in the design and the implementation of IT solutions necessary for the completion and the development of the CCS activity in line with BPSS standards and objectives and in line with client activities


  • Support the CCS local management in negotiating with and managing clients to the benefit of CCS activity


  • Liaise with Client Services, service providers and regulators as needed


  • Resolve BAU issues that affect CCS Operations with other areas of the Group


  • Initiate and drive initiatives/system updates to improve CA processing capability


  • Participate in the development and implementation of effective and efficient operation management policies and processes that are consistent with best practices.


  • Take initiatives to reach the group objective: Harmonization project for Corporate Action Notifications


  • Share knowledge of new processes, regulations, client needs and expectations, techniques within the team


  • Accept responsibility for CA processing and achievement of objectives


  • Comply with relevant regulations, legal demands and ethical standards when undertaking CA activity


  • Escalate issue/problem when needed


Risk Management

  • Properly perform 1st level of controls on Corporate Action activity


  • Ensure that activity is constantly under control through close supervision of checks and reconciliations


  • Consistently keep risk awareness approach


  • Participate in the design and maintain of appropriate risk and KPI monitoring tools


  • Update operational procedures


  • Participate in the implementation of audit recommendations within due time


  • Participate in the management of incidents (on time declaration, resolution, action plan definition?)


Key Accountabilities


  • Ensure the accurate interpretation and processing of all Corporate Action events .


  • Adherence to all US regulations as related to the services offered, along with adherence to internal bank and business line procedures and policies


  • Adherence to internal controls to eliminate risk and operational losses


  • Deliver high quality of service to ever-demanding clients


  • Support and complete projects and initiatives as assigned


Profile and Skills to Success


  • Bachelor?s degree required, advanced degree considered a plus


  • Minimum 1-3 years financial industry experience with an emphasis on Corporate Action processing


  • Be available for a schedule of 06h00 to 15h00

  • Proven ability to work within a team


  • Familiarity with securities products and with International practices


  • Corporate action accounting and SWIFT knowledge required


  • Related knowledge of asset set-up, settlements, mutual funds, cash processing, tax issues and reconciliations


  • Autonomous in handling complex queries both internal and external


  • Proven ability to handle multiple priorities while respecting tight deadlines


  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills


  • Displays a keen sense of ownership, responsibility and accountability


  • Extremely detail orientated


  • Solid analytical and problem solving skills


  • Proactive, motivated and willing to absorb new concepts


  • Raise systematically any incident to management if escalation is needed illustrating keen awareness of risk
