About the job

CIB Data Office reports to the CIB Chief Data Officer and has the mission of:

• defining and implementing the governance of the data originated or conveyed within CIB scope


• improve data knowledge and data quality


• contribute to the development of our information assets

Your Main Activities Are

• Lead the execution of controls as part of the CIB Personal Data Protection framework
  
  • Participate in Operational Permanent Control Governance & Change committees
  
  
  • Execute central controls, and follow-up action plans with stakeholders
  
  
  • Coordinate local controls by supporting local stakeholders in their execution
  
  
  • Communicate results to the 2nd Line of defense (DPO network)
  
  
• Contribute to disseminate a culture of personal data protection within CIB
  
  • Support the CIB Data Office in the preparation of data protection committees
  
  
  • Help coordinate the CIB EU personal data protection network
  
  
• Maintain a regulatory watch on data protection


• Develop and share best practices with the data protection network

Profile and Skills to Success

Experience

• 4+ years of professional experience in similar functions


• Knowledge and experience in Personal Data Protection


• Understanding of data processing operations (incl. business applications & data use)


• Experience in project management & change management

Technical skills

• Fully proficient in Excel and PowerPoint


• Capacity to summarize in PowerPoint complex topics for a senior audience


• Ability to coordinate multiple streams of tasks

Soft skills

• Ability to lead, engage and work transversally


• Independency, objectivity and integrity


• Excellent writing, communication and interpersonal skills


• Attention to details


• Flexibility: Ability to work in a changing environment

Education

• Law and/or Business School/Master?s degree from university. Specialization in Data Protection/Digital Law is a plus

Languages

• Fluent English (mandatory)


• French and Portuguese are a plus

CIB Data Office is made up of 2 teams, based in Paris and Lisbon:

• CIB Analytics Consulting: in-house centre of expertise on Data, Analytics and Artificial Intelligence


• CIB Data Office: Quality/integrity & Protection team (Business as usual and Projects):

Within Quality/integrity & protection team, the Data Protection team is responsible for steering the program, perform risk assessment analysis on specific areas, issue remediation and pilot remediation at CIB level.
