POSITION

The Oracle Retail Global Business Unit (RGBU) Customer Value team is looking to hire Software developers to perform technical design and development of Retail Solutions. You will use your knowledge and creativity to design and build innovative new systems. You will be writing code, completing programming projects, and performing testing and debugging of Oracle software. You will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies to solve real-world retail problems in a collaborative environment.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Analyze, design develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for commercial or end user applications. Writes code, completes programming and performs testing and debugging of applications.
As a member of the software engineering division, you will perform detailed design based on provided high level design specifications. Assist in system planning, scheduling and implementation. Build enhancements (including new product features) and resolve bugs. Build and execute unit test and unit test plans. Review integration and regression test plans created by QA. Interact with QA and porting engineering about problems in the code.
Duties and tasks are standard with some variation; displays understanding of roles, processes and procedures. Performs moderately complex problem solving with assistance and guidance in understanding and applying company policies and processes. BS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 3 to 6 years of software engineering or related experience.

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES

• Have at least a BS/MS?s degree in Computer Science or an equivalent science/engineering


• From a skill set perspective at least one off the following preferable options:
  
  • Strong PL/SQL development skills alongside being highly proficient in SQL and SQL tuning and shell scripting
  
  
  • Oracle APEX and APEX plugin development, JavaScript and develop and integrating ReST services using ORDS. Alongside of designing and developing commercial web application with knowledge in SQL and development skills on PL/SQL
  
  
  • Java, ReST development using frameworks like Spring Boot and Oracle database development on PL/SQL, JavaScript (HTML, jQuery, Knockout.js) using frameworks Angular, Oracle Jet or Oracle Visual Builder. Including experience on usage of Tomcat, Maven, Jenkins, Git.
  
  
• Excellent written and oral communication (English ? mandatory)

Detailed Description and Job Requirements

Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.
As a member of the software engineering division, you will assist in defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, debugging or designing of software applications or operating systems. Provide technical leadership to other software developers. Specify, design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs.
Duties and tasks are varied and complex needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 4 years of software engineering or related experience.
