ROI Engine Deployment manager Full-time

Auto req ID: 241203BR Job Description Main Purpose This is a role of a senior internal consultant for the ROI engine product to cover West Europe or larger East markets under the leadership of the ROI Engine Deployment / Media Measurement Lead and it will partner with a more junior position on the team who will cover smaller in size and complexity East markets. The person will have to deliver against three core objectives: Deliver measurement results to the key senior stakeholders in Marketing, Media Operations CoE and Insights. He or she will need to understand the business challenges and create a story using ROI engine outputs that will inspire marketers to invest differently and improve our brand growth and media ROI utilizing marketing mix models, predictive analytics, and scenario planning. The planned scope for ?21 will include 6-8 projects in West Europe BUs (or bigger East BU / Categories) on measurement and optimization of PepsiCo media advertising investment - from Beverages (e.g. Pepsi, 7UP) to Snacks (e.g. Walkers, Lays) and our Nutrition and Dairy Portfolio (e.g. Tropicana, Agusha, Chudo). Collaborating closely with the European product, data science and data engineering teams to review, enhancing and deliver the in-house ROI Engine capability both now and the future. In order to deliver these, the person will need to collaborate closely with the in-house Europe product, data science and data engineering teams, and Global in-house media measurement delivery and Europe Insights teams to ensure we bring a fit for unique Europe?s complexity product. Therefore, the person needs to have proficient knowledge of econometric modelling and quantitative research methods, familiar with the in-house data science modelling and PepsiCo data flow set up. Accountabilities This is a Europe CoE role and CoE roles are very stretching from a leadership and impact perspective, as they have a diverse and very senior set of stakeholders in a complex Category / BU matrix environment. The ?how? of this role is just as important as the ?what? and hence we are targeting a demanding leadership profile. Scope out, coordinate and lead delivery of the in-house ROI Engine media measurement projects across 6-8 biggest BU / Categories in Europe (in-house marketing mix econometric modelling) Partner with the in-house Global and Europe technical teams (product owner, data science and data engineering). Ensure data science and technical teams deliver a fit for purpose product. Contribute to improving the in-house methodology, tools and solutions. Optimize the process and ways of working Influence senior stakeholders to ensure in-house media effectiveness measurement is embedded in the local markets and replaces the current 3rd party solution with the required governance procedures in place. Manage the 3rd party measurement in case there is a business need Be the sounding board and contribute to sunsetting the present marketing effectiveness measurement program delivered via the 3rd party research agency (Nielsen) Facilitate and enable optimization of the BU / Category media investment partnering with BU / Category Marketing, Europe Media TCP and CoE and BU / Category Insights teams Identify opportunity areas for future measurement optimization and pilot it in the ?blind spot? countries and media platforms/touchpoints Understand and manage the measurement process including data flow and data collection (if needed) between all key providers (media agency, finance, measurement and media teams) and standardized modelling outputs. Closely collaborate with the Europe Media Insights team and feed in-house program learnings and research results into the Europe Meta learnings and recommendations Track ROI Engine incremental value generated within the scope and reflect in best practice to enable global roll out in other sectors beyond Europe Qualifications/Requirements University degree Strong experience in the research agency/ client side in Marketing, Insights, Data analytics Strong analytical acumen and quantitative skills with a demonstrated ability to translate information and data into actionable insights story and strategic recommendations Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Leadership and influencing skills, ability to demonstrate confidence in communications with stakeholders at all levels and under high pressure Solid organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects at once delivering strong, detailed execution Ability to work in a fast paced environment, matrix org, adapt to changes and effectively work and collaborate in cross-functional teams Solid understanding of how data & analytics can be used to drive business impact in marketing ? comfort and good intuition around advanced analytics, with a good basic understanding of modelling techniques and advanced applied skills (e.g. Regression, A/B testing) - though no requirement to be able to build models or apply these skills. High degree of functional proficiency with data visualisation, Power Point, and data analytics software Ability to travel up to 10% of time to present to the senior stakeholders in internal Marketing and Media CoE teams Able to translate complex concepts into clear implications and stories for the business Ability to navigate a complex cross-functional organisation Embraces ambiguity as part of the development process Inclusive, collaborative with global empathy Intellectual curiosity This role requires a very specific skill set which is not common within PepsiCo (or beyond). The role needs a solid understanding of analytical techniques while being able to interface with business stakeholders.
