Head of Sales Full-time

Sales is an integral part of our recipe for success, on a national and global scale, from attracting new customers to supporting our partner restaurants. That's where you come in.


All about the role


As our Head of Sales for Portugal, you lead a talented sales team and help them to achieve their goals. In addition to maintaining effective relationships with established key accounts, you're able to inspire team members, drive performance and ensure we achieve our sales KPIs.


Communication and inspired leadership are also key ingredients in this job. In addition to providing valuable internal training and coaching to your team members, you're able to quickly scale up the team, hiring outstanding talent, onboarding and developing solid ramp-up programs.


Your other responsibilities as our Head of Sales are to:


  • Lead a team of 10 salespeople, including Team Leads, Lead Generation, Inside Sales, Field Sales & Sales Admin and setting them up for success

  • Devise our sales strategy together with key stakeholders, including expansion strategy, FTE needs, setting targets,, territory management, incentives, sales playbook & performance KPIs aligned with global benchmarks

  • Hold weekly team meetings to ensure performance & goals are on track with country targets

  • Work across sales datasets, make analytical assumptions & build predictability into the business, enabling the team to go faster

  • Continuously develop team members throughout coaching, helping them grow within the company

  • Liaise regularly with peers to share valuable insights and design new ways of working

  • Keep up to date with the latest market developments and competitor performance

  • Take the lead in complex and sophisticated sales opportunities (especially with key national & international accounts)

  • Embody the core values of Just Eat Takeaway.com and the Sales department


Can you deliver?


Here are the skills and experience we need from you:


  • 7+ years' experience in Sales roles, working in a fast-paced environment

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Marketing or a related field

  • Strong interpersonal skills, with experience of leading sales teams of 15+ people and creating a hard-working but fun workplace

  • A good understanding of marketplaces & experience in a fast-scaling start-up is an advantage

  • A Data-driven mentality & comfortable navigating around large data sets

  • Experience using tech to enable inside/outside sales to go faster

  • Able to successfully coach and develop teams, taking them to the next level

  • Track record of meeting and overachieving targets & supporting business needs

  • Great stakeholder management, you're charismatic and use empathy

  • Familiar with the tools of the trade: Salesforce, Excel, Tableau, Talkdesk, Asana

  • Fluent English and Portuguese (written & spoken) with excellent communication skills
