This internship will allow a professional experience in three of our main departments in a rotation system, promoting the acquisition of a wide range of skills and knowledge in these 3 areas. The selected candidate will work closely with our Consultants, VAT Accountants and Finance Controllers, in the following areas of expertise: Compliance & Consulting, Tax Recovery and Finance.

Duties and responsibilities, as they align with Ryan?s Key Results

People:

  • Create a positive team experience.

Client:

  • Compliance & Consulting : Ensure VAT support for our customers, through the provision of consultancy services in VAT, by analyzing specific situations/issues posed by our customers;
  • Tax Recovery: Provide support in the preparation and submission of VAT refund requests from customers in different countries in Europe;
  • Finance: Proceed to reconciliations between the customer's accounting statements and the company's ones.

Value:

  • Compliance & Consulting:
    • Prepare and submit VAT, Intrastat, etc. declarations in all countries where our customers develop strategic operations;
    • Contact the tax authorities, in order to follow the status of the clients' processes in progress;
    • Ensure vigilance on various VAT-related topics in Europe;
    • Collaboration with our subsidiaries in Europe;
    • Participate in software testing of our applications.

  • Tax Recovery:
    • Conducting audits: analysis and selection of documents that confer the deduction of VAT in several countries in Europe, both at the Company's premises and at the customers' premises;
    • Preparation and monitoring of VAT refund requests;
    • Preparation and writing of responses and considerations addressed to the competent tax authorities, for reimbursement requests or other questions related to VAT.
    • Collaboration with our subsidiaries in Europe;
    • Update of internal databases;
    • Organization and classification of documents.

  • Finance:
    • Classification and entry of accounting documents, according to the accounting standards of each country;
    • Preparation of billing orders to customers;
    • Issuance of invoices to customers and respective control;
    • Collect information from customers and tax administrations;
    • Perform all types of administrative tasks requested by the management;
    • Prepare Excel reporting.

Education and Experience:

We are looking for a candidate willing to achieve new challenges by integrating a dynamic and multicultural team. The candidate must fulfill the following requirements:

  • Be eligible for an IEFP internship;
  • Hold a Bachelor's Degree in the areas of Management, Accounting or Economics (Mandatory. Other Bachelor's degrees will not be accepted);
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written). Other languages will also be valued in the recruitment process;
  • Domain of computer tools from the user's perspective, in particular, Microsoft Excel;
  • Good communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills;
  • Strong organizational skills and great capacity to meet deadlines.

To perform this job successfully, the individual must be dynamic, have strong relationship building, be an organized person, be able to set objectives and to face up to challenges. This position, with strong added-value, will allow you to evolve quickly within the company.
