HR Generalist Full-time

OVERVIEW:


  • We?re looking for an HR Generalist who will be responsible for performing HR-related duties in our Portugal office and will work closely with the HRM (based in Germany), along with senior and mid-level management globally. We?ll need you to be responsible for some of the following functional areas: employee engagement, onboarding, employee relations, employment law compliance, performance management, payroll, and HR admin.

RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Day-to-day HR operational advice and support across the full range of HR activities.

  • Work closely with our recruitment team to ensure all vacancies are filled effectively to match the business requirements and timing.
  • Conduct employee onboarding and help organise obtaining the proper documents including employment verification and payroll related documents.

  • Liaise with the payroll providers to complete the monthly payroll ensuring that all changes are processed in a time efficient manner.

  • Maintain employee files and records up-to date and ensure compliance with labour regulations and for an accurate audit trail.

  • Manage non-complex casework, including attendance management; disciplinaries, grievances, and performance management; providing support and advice to managers.

  • Provide accurate advice and interpretation of policies and procedures and employment legislation, actively contributing to the development and review of existing and new policies and procedures.

  • Support the HR Manager with the annual performance and salary review process and work on any projects or tasks as provided by the HRM.

  • Work collaboratively with HR Team and across all Business Partner teams in order that the business receives a fast, accurate and high-quality service.

DESIRED EXPERIENCE:


  • Bachelor?s Degree in Human Resources Management or related discipline.

  • Solid experience working in progressive HR generalist roles.

  • A solid understanding of local employment legislation / labour law and HR best practices across day-to-day people activities.

  • Payroll and benefits administration experience.
  • Ability to make sound judgements and wise decisions based on evaluating data and deciding on a course of action.

  • Excellent command of the English language written and spoken.
  • Good IT knowledge: especially Microsoft Word, Excel and Power-Point and be confident using HRIS databases and IT systems. BambooHR and Workable is an advantage.

  • Ability to proactively support change and with strong personal perseverance.

This is a 9 month Fixed Term Contract to cover maternity leave.
