IT Project Manager Full-time

As part of our continued development we are building an IT competency centre in Lisbon, and require qualified, adaptable and ambitious IT project management professionals to support ConvaTec?s mission to improve lives across the world.


We are looking to recruit a number of IT Project Managers who will be responsible for the planning and delivery of technology projects. The successful candidates will liaise with the IT technical team, vendor partners and business stakeholders to coordinate and lead IT projects to completion, including managing issues and risks and executing all related tasks to successfully deliver projects against agreed plan.

You will provide project management support to assigned IT projects and be the interface between technical teams, business users, vendors and finance organisations to ensure the smooth execution of these IT projects.

A key part of your role will be to keep the project organized and running, developing project support documentation including creating timelines & plans, budget & resource tracking, requirements documentation, RAID logs etc. You will bring structure to project requirements, identify required assets and resources, formulate project plan, track budgets, analyse and mange risks, communicate and motivate the team.

An ability to manage project work independently as well as operating as part of a larger international team for more complex projects is crucial to the success of this role. As is an ability to communicate, coordinate and lead project status and steering committee meetings.


Technical skillset

  • Experience of running or supporting IT projects.
  • Experience of working with complex / international organisation in project / PMO related role.
  • Strong Communication Skills. Ability to communicate effectively to stakeholder.
  • Solid skills with Excel and PMO tools and techniques
  • Strong organisational / admin skills.
  • Experience of managing technology projects of varying sizes (small ? Large).
  • Knowledge of hosting, network, and end user compute technologies beneficial.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment a plus.
  • Experience working alongside technical IT resources, and managing virtual teams
  • PM qualifications preferred. (PMP, Prince 2, Scrum Master, Agile etc.)
  • Appreciation of project finance management (Opex vs Capex); SAP experience a plus

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Direct management for IT projects in an international environment
  • Evaluate requirements and understand the value of the project
  • Formulate and Execute project plans.
  • Communicate project parameters.
  • Keep the project organized and running.
  • Activity and Resource planning
  • Track Budgets; Manage project finances working with Global finance teams as needed
  • Monitor and communicate project progress
  • Analyse and manage project risks
  • Project documentation and reporting (RAID logs, plans, trackers, presentations etc)
  • Coordinate and Lead project status meetings
