Lead Analyst, CRM and Growth Marketing Full-time

Tripadvisor is seeking a passionate leader to own the data-driven growth of Tripadvisor's B2C business through dedicated focus on our relationship with our customers. Success in this role means you have the technical skills to navigate our immense data ecosystem, while being able to leverage a growth marketing and CRM strategic mindset to uncover insights and tell a story with data. You must have strong analytic capability and believe that data analysis is the best way to build a successful product, campaign, or growth strategy. You also believe that an Analyst's job is to guide the business' growth roadmap - not just "running the numbers" or supplying reports to teams.

A Lead Analyst will go above and beyond providing reports and analyses. We'll count on this role to identify, design, and implement statistical analyses, identify key user segments, contribute directly to the prioritization of the project roadmap, and drive a deep understanding of all our travelers.

What You'll Do:

  • You'll live in the data. You're primarily responsible for uncovering opportunities to drive growth in user engagement, traveler experience, customer lifecycle, and revenue through routine analysis of performance metrics.

  • You'll light the way forward. Together with business leaders, define data goals for specific CRM and growth projects that simultaneously define project success while also resulting in a meaningful business outcome.

  • You'll fully own data quality and reporting, while making sure nothing gets lost in translation by taking ownership and evangelizing the dashboards we use to communicate our impact at both the strategic and tactical levels.

  • You'll influence decision-making at the highest levels of the company. Together with business leadership, create growth models that forecast customer growth, identifying areas where improvement is needed.

  • Your expertise will recommend the best course of action by performing thorough analyses of hypotheses via A/B tests that assess impact across a range of metrics.

  • You'll guide the business in our evolution from change from thinking about revenue as a "per session" metric to a function of the lifetime value of each customer.

  • Maintain a working knowledge of data mining and visualization best practices.

What We Seek

  • Deep expertise with SQL and working with databases is a must. Snowflake, PostgreSQL, Python are highly desirable. Hive / Hadoop cluster querying a plus

  • Extensive experience with Tableau (or similar Business Intelligence tools)

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience working directly with a Customer Relationship Management or Growth Marketing team

  • Passion for driving business decisions using data-driven insights that enhance our understanding of the customer, identifying what business opportunities are uncovered, and working with cross functional teams to capitalize on them.

  • A self-starter who demonstrates initiative, entrepreneurship, and tenacity while working independently. You will thrive on challenges and not be deterred by difficult situations. You will work proactively rather than reactively.

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience as a Business Analyst or Commercial Analyst for an online consumer transactional
