HR Recruiter and Office Manager Full-time

Applied Blockchain is an innovative applications development company, focussed on distributed ledger and confidential computing technologies. The company was founded in 2015 at Level39, Europe?s largest Fintech accelerator in London?s Canary Wharf and expanded to Porto (Praça da Batalha), Portugal in 2017 where growth is now focused, Applied Blockchain has an expert team of developers creating cutting-edge solutions for disruptive startups and corporate clients in banking and finance, energy, aviation, automotive, shipping, telecommunications and social impact sectors. Our clients already include Shell (also an investor in the company), KLM, Lloyds Register, Toyota, Vodafone, United Nations and we?re advising the UK Government. We are building a new generation of decentralised and confidential computing solutions, working through some of the most interesting technical problems in this field such as identity management, transaction anonymity, encryption, cryptography and data privacy.

Reporting to the HR Manager, this role will provide support in all HR, recruitment and admin routines for the Porto team. This is a highly demanding position in a fast-paced, professional, warm and tech environment. In your daily routine you will deal with the following:


What you?ll be doing:


  • Sourcing prospective candidates on social media, local and online events, and other platforms, as well as reaching out to candidates in our own database.
  • Assisting with the recruitment process of candidates. This includes filtering responses, arranging interviews and providing candidates with feedback.

  • Assisting in developing a pool of engaged, active and passive talents

  • Supporting the onboarding processes

  • Managing the posting of ads on social networks and other platforms

  • Monitoring attraction activities to determine the most effective channels

  • Be a point of contact for HR queries, offering support and information to staff

  • Supporting the team with events and campaigns to promote our employer brand and our work

  • In general, supporting growth of the Portugal operation

Requirements

  • C1 or above English
  • Experience in recruitment, HR, including reaching out to potential candidates

  • Enthusiasm, drive and a willingness to learn are all essential

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and good phone manner

  • Interest in contributing to the broader development of the business.

  • Adaptable to change and have an understanding of broader recruitment objectives and priorities.

  • Preparedness to step outside of job description when needed

  • Ability to think creatively, deal with ambiguity and overcome difficult problems.

  • Experience using LinkedIn, Workable, Zoom

  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) or Google Docs equivalents

  • University degree

  • A proactive and positive ?can do? attitude where nothing is too hard - if you don?t know how to do something, you?ll find out
