The Role...



The Employee Experience Manager
role remit is to lead on the design and delivery of core communications and employee experience activities for PPB staff across locations to bring to life our culture, strategy and value proposition.



This will include coordinating key internal communication channels and forums, engagement and talent activities as well as employee comms and campaigns.



Part of the European Talent Function of Paddy Power Betfair (PPB), this role will sit within the Employee Experience team that will focus on designing and delivering a holistic strategy for talent management, diversity and inclusion, culture, engagement and communication, to create the best in class experience for our talent.




What You'll be Doing...


  • The Employee Experience Manager has proven experience working cross-functionally and puts at work the passion for creating brilliant employee experiences, considering all touchpoints along an employee's journey within the company, ranging from talent acquisition campaigns, to internal websites, social media channels and HR content communicated.

  • Puts strategy and planning skills at work, alongside the knowledge on people communications and marketing to deliver the employee experience across all of PPB's European locations: Ireland, UK, Romania, Portugal and Malta.

  • Builds excellent relationships with stakeholders across business functions and geographic locations

  • Plans and manages internal campaigns including both content and engagement elements.

  • Manages, develops and executes on employee communication and engagement strategies. Must be a strong writer with strong attention to detail and experience writing in varying tone of voices, channels, formats.

  • Demonstrates the capacity to put structure around ambiguously defined inputs.

  • Shows a resourceful approach to problem solving and ability to propose creative solutions. Gathers insights and conducts research to understand existing employee experiences across our European Offices.

  • Is 20% of time focused on supporting the translation of EVP for Blip employees, from a strategy perspective and partner with local TA and external PR agencies for the operational delivery of the local employee Experience and employer brand roadmap.

  • Will be responsible for the ways of working to implement Blip employer branding and employee experience activities in the context of PPB European strategy.

  • Is an advocate for best-in-class employee and talent marketing, staying on the pulse of great campaign examples and the latest thought leadership, news, articles and case studies.

What We're Looking For...


  • Communication: Strong communicator with a logical, structured, clear, credible and mature style. Capable of engaging audiences of various seniority levels and with different backgrounds (e.g. Technology, Commercial) across our 5 European locations. Exceptional English mastery both verbal and written. Capacity to write engaging comms to create momentum around the initiatives designed and delivered. Proficiency in creating content that is fit for purpose whether for email, PowerPoint, web (social media and career website) and for the audiences it is addressed to.

  • Knowledge in key areas as SEO, Social Media, Content Marketing, Email Marketing, PPC and SEM

  • Business acumen and commerciality: Proven ability to understand overall business objectives and work within a commercial, growth-focused business. Experience of developing and implementing communications campaigns linked to business strategy. Will have input and recommendations on emerging trends and practices within the remit of the role, that can create value for the business.

  • Delivery excellence: A track record for implementing at pace and a focus on continuous improvement. Proficient project management capability from concept through to delivery and experience of having delivered projects while working in an international team format.
    Stakeholder Management: Strong influencing skills and proven ability to successfully build productive relationships with stakeholders across teams and locations who are relevant for delivering the Employee Experience agenda. A strong team player with a collaborative style and a proven track record of effectively delivering work through teams in the business. Ability to guide, challenge when needed and advise key stakeholders to secure their support and deliver against the set priorities.

  • Analytical and data-driven approach: Will adopt a metrics-driven approach to analysing the effectiveness of our communications campaigns and initiatives implemented.
