Operational Compliance Controller Team Leader Full-time

The Operational Compliance Controller is part of Level B1 team. This team?s mission is to perform Due Diligences on the alerts that have been escalated by Level A, including perform necessary investigation and provide supporting documentation. Level B-1 should provide a first advice regarding the possibility of clearing the alert and assign the alert for further review by level B-2.

Moreover, the Operational Compliance Controller will be responsible for the following:

  • Obtain all necessary information and documentation in compliance with Group policies and procedures

  • Save and copy all relevant information research/obtained documentation and attach in FircoSoft for document retention purposes

  • Contact local sites to gather some documentation, if needed

  • The investigations usually contain, several information sources (Documentary evidence of the economic purpose of the transaction; originator or Beneficiary information; origin or destination of the goods; KYC elements; any missing documentation related to the transaction and others)

  • Level B1 must escalate all alerts to Level B2, including a recommendation whether the alert can be cleared or not, as well as all necessary information and supporting documentation

As a team leader, the Compliance Controller will:

  • Report to the manager of the Levels A & B1 teams.

  • In liaise with Paris team, ensure quality control of the analysis of the team;

  • Be the point of contact with Paris Location;

  • Ensure that the alerts are processed with respect of the cut-off and the SLA is fulfilled;

  • Provide guidance to the operational Compliance controllers on how to treat an alert if case of doubt or in any case described in the internal procedure that require a senior expertise or when a new procedure/policy is issued;

  • Providing team members with mentoring, feedback, appraisals, performance management and team building;

  • Contribute to improve the efficiency of the team (UAT of the tool, implementation of new procedure, among others);


5+ years of professional experience within financial industry

Technical skills

  • Good knowledge of payments operations

  • Understanding and experience in Compliance hit management would be a plus

  • Advanced in English (very good oral and written communication)

  • Advanced in French (very good oral and written communication)

Soft skills

  • Experience in managing would be a plus

  • Ability to work with remote teams across multiple locations

  • Risk oriented profile with strong analytical and investigation skills

  • Strong attention to details and rigorous

  • Strong organizational skills, with a structured and logical approach

  • Client oriented and high level of integrity

  • Ability to conduct the change

  • Excellent team spirit
