NOTICE 1- Tender call for recruitment of a doctoral research assistant Under the terms of paragraph a) of no. 1 of article 11 of Decree-Law no. 57/2016, of 29 August, it is made public that by order of the President of the Polytechnic Institute of Viana do Castelo , of April 16, 2020, the opening for a period of 30 working days of a competition to recruit a doctoral assistant researcher, under a fixed-term employment contract in public functions, for a period of 36 (thirty-six) ) months, aiming to fill a job in one of the key scientific areas of the proMetheus Research Unit - Civil Engineering / Materials Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Earth and Environmental Sciences. The contract resulting from this tender procedure is financed exclusively through the program contract signed among the Foundation for Science and Technology, I.P. and the Polytechnic Institute of Viana do Castelo, supported through national funds registered in the budget of the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT) and developed in the ProMetheus Research & Development Unit in Materials, Energy and Environment for Sustainability, therefore, it is exempt of the authorizations and opinions identified in article 16 of Decree-Law No. 57/2016, of 29 August. 2 - Validity of the public tender- The contest is only valid for the indicated job, expiring with the occupation of the job. 3 - Applicable legislation - This contest is governed by the provisions of Decree-Law No. 57/2016, of 29 August, with the changes introduced by Law No. 57/2017, of 19 July, and in the alternative by General Labor Law in Public Functions (LGTFP), approved by Law No. 35/2014, of 20 June, in its current wording. 4 - Workplace - in any of the facilities assigned to the Polytechnic Institute of Viana de Castelo, where the activity of the Research & Development Unit in Materials, Energy and Environment for Sustainability is carried out - proMetheus. 5 - The basic monthly remuneration to be attributed is that corresponding to position 1 of the category of auxiliary researcher, without qualification and aggregation, in the gross amount of ? 3,191.82, as provided for in paragraph 2 of article 2 of Regulatory Decree n 11-A / 2017, of 29 December, and in paragraph 1 of article 15 of Decree-Law No. 57/2016, with the wording introduced by Law No. 57/2017. 6 - General admission requirements are those provided for in article 17 of the LGTFP. 7 - Special admission requirements are: a) Doctorate title for more than 4 (four) years, in one of the key scientific areas of UI&D (Civil Engineering / Materials Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Earth and Environmental Sciences) or related area, with relevant curriculum in at least one of the areas mentioned; b) Relevant research, in one or more of the mentioned scientific areas, preferably on themes focused on sustainability; c) Experience in integrated approaches to sustainability, which preferably include natural systems, technologies and governance; d) Experience in managing research and promoting multidisciplinary teams. 8 - Formalization of applications Applications are formalized by means of a request addressed to the President of the Polytechnic Institute of Viana do Castelo, and can be delivered personally to the Central Services, located at Rua Escola Industrial e Comercial de Nun'Álvares, nº 34, 4900-347 Viana do Castelo, or sent by mail, under registration and with acknowledgment of receipt, sent until the deadline for submitting applications to he mentioned address, and must include the complete identification of the candidate (full name and name adopted in bibliographic references, affiliation, place of birth, date of birth, number and date of identity card / citizen's card or legally recognized document for the purpose, marital status, profession, residence, postal code and telephone number and email address for contact). 8.1 - Candidates must accompany their applications, with documents proving compliance with the admission requirements described in numbers 6 and 7 of this notice, namely: a) Copy of certificate of required degrees and titles; b) A copy, delivered on paper, of the candidate's detailed curriculum vitae; c) A copy, delivered on paper, of the works mentioned by the candidate in his curriculum vitae; d) Other relevant documents for verifying the fulfillment of the admission requirements, as well as for applying the ranking criteria. 8.2 -A copy must also be delivered in digital format (pen format, duly identified), of the elements referred to in paragraphs b), c) and d) of the previous number . 9 - Candidates are excluded if they incorrectly formalize their application, or do not prove the requirements required in this competition. The jury has the option of requiring any candidate, in case of doubt, they will have to present supporting documents for their statements. 10 - Selection methods and rating scale - Candidates will be ranked using the weighted average of the rating obtained in each of the criteria below, in the following percentages: a) SCIENTIFIC AND TECHNICAL ACTIVITIES 60% Scientific publications 40% a) Books (author / co-author): 20 points each; 20 b) Scopus-WoS indexed articles / book chapters: 8 points each; 8 c) Other indexed articles; 5 points each; 5 d) Other articles with arbitration: 2 points each; 2 e) Editor / co-editor (books / minutes / magazines): 8 points each; 8 f) Oral communications / poster: 3 points each; 3 Coordination and participation in scientific or technical projects 20% a) Responsible for financed project (> 100k): 10 points per year; 10 b) Participation in a financed project (> 100k): 4 points per year; 4 c) Responsible for financed project (<100K): 7 points per year; 7 d) Participation in a financed project (<100k): 3 points per year; 3 Creation and strengthening of laboratory facilities 10% a)Coordination of laboratory infrastructure teams of an experimental nature 10 b)Participation in a team to create laboratory infrastructures of an experimental nature 4 Streamlining scientific activity 5% a) Coordination of research teams (by project) 10 b) Participation of research teams (by project) 4 Recognition by the international scientific community 15% a) Awards and distinctions awarded by international institutions: 8 points each; 2 b) Teaching of course units in higher education: 4 points per year 4 e) ACTIVITY IN MANAGEMENT BODIES 5% Positions in management bodies of companies or other institutions 50% a) Positions in management bodies of public or private companies or organizations: 10 points per position 10 b) Coordination positions in other bodies of companies or public or private organizations: 7 points per position 7 Other positions 50% a) Elective positions in management bodies of scientific or professional technical societies: 10 points per position. 10 b) Elective positions in bodies of scientific or professional technical societies: 7 points per position. 7 11 - Publication of the lists - The lists of admitted and excluded candidates, the draft final ranking list and the unitary final ranking list of candidates, after approval, are notified to candidates and published on the IPVC website. 12 - In compliance with the provisions of Article 13 of Decree-Law No. 57/2016, the competition jury, appointed by order of the President of the IPVC of April 16, 2020, has the following composition: President: António José Candeias Curado, adjunct professor at IPVC and coordinator of the Research & Development Unit on Materials, Energy and Environment for Sustainability - proMetheus;
